Cinderford Town Football Academy aims to provide local players with UEFA qualified training and the opportunity to undertake a BTEC Diploma while representing Cinderford Town Under 18s.

Established in 2017 as a partner of Cinderford Town AFC and Cinderford Town Youth FC, Cinderford Town’s Football Academy aims to provide community football coaching, further education options as well as a pathway through to the first team.

Currently our Academy will operate with an U18 team only in the short term with a long term vision to provide academy teams within the JPL from U13 to U18.

The Under 18 team provides the undertaking of a Football Scholarship in the form of a two year BTEC Level 3 Extended National Diploma in Sport.  This will be run on a full time basis with 20 hours of classroom work and 6 hours of football coaching every week, academy players will also then have the opportunity to represent Cinderford Towns Under 18 team.

The community element will also be organising regular Soccer Schools during school holidays. We also work within term time providing schools with quality provision in PE and After School Clubs. The Soccer Schools and Schools Programme enable staff, coaches and scouts to recognise and identify local talent in order to enable youngsters to progress through to our youth teams and possibly into the Academy.
